Can I renew my digital certificate after the renewal deadline has expired?

The renewal procedure is possible even after the expiration date has passed. However, please note that after the renewal deadline (expiration date of the digital certificate) has passed, you will not be able to use it as a digital certificate.
Renewal of the digital certificate requires a reservation at some counters. Please make a reservation based on the reservation ID described in the "Expiration date notice" that arrives about 3 months before the expiration date. If you live in a ward that does not require a reservation, please come to the counter directly.

Precautions
If you receive an expiration date notice on a blue envelope (sender: Yokohama City) and wish to apply at the My Number Card Special Center, the reservation method will be different from usual. Specifically, please see page about new issuance, update of digital certificate of my number card.
Reception hours
Ward Office
- Weekdays: 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- 2nd and 4th Saturday: From 9 a.m. to noon
- Monday, Tue, Friday (excluding holidays): 11:30 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.
- Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

- For Basic Resident Register (four digits)
- Digital certificate for user certification (four digits)
- Digital Certificate for Signature (6 to 16 digits mixed with alphanumeric characters)
