Could you tell me how to Seal Registration on your behalf?

Please submit a report to the ward office of your ward office. ※It is not possible to submit a report at the administrative service corner.
Please bring your private seal, Power of Attorney, and proxy/agent identity verification documents. (The power of attorney is handwritten by yourself.) Please refer to the following website for details.)
There are two ways to Seal Registration.

1. Document inquiry method

After the reception, an inquiry will be sent to you by mail from the ward office. Please have your Address, name, and private seal to be registered in the inquiry you received, and visit the Agency again.

※Depending on the postal circumstances, it may take a few days (about one week) to register, so please proceed with sufficient time.

2. Guarantor method

If a person who operates in Seal Registration, writes Address, name and date of birth in the warranty section of the Seal Registration application form and sealed the registered private seal, then Seal Registration will do so on the same day. However, proxy/agent cannot serve as guarantors. If your guarantor is registered as a resident outside of Yokohama, you must attach a Seal Registration Certificate within three months after issuance.

You cannot register the following private seal.

1. Names, name, old Mr. or name recorded in the Basic Resident Register recorded in the Basic Resident Register, or a combination of a part of the old Mr.
2. Rubber stamps and other private seal that are easily deformed
3. Occupation, qualifications and other matters other than name
4. The size of the seal impression fits in a square with a side length of 8 mm or a square with a side length of 25 mm
5. seal impression is unclear, unrelated or difficult to read.
6. seal impression is significantly similar to private seal that has already been registered by another person or private seal that another person has already registered.
