Please tell me how to delete or change my maiden name on resident certificate?

If you no longer use your maiden name (old man) listed on resident certificate, you can delete it by request. Also, if you change your last name (Mr.) after deletion, you can re-list your maiden name (old man) generated after the deletion as your maiden name (old man) in resident certificate again.
In addition, it can be changed to the newly generated maiden name (Mr.) only if the last name (Mr.) is changed after the date of the maiden name (old man).

Documents required for deletion procedure
- My Number Card (only for those who have one)
※It is necessary to delete the maiden name (old man) listed on my number card.
- Identification documents coming to the counter
- When proxy/agent submits a notification, documents such as a power of attorney are required to confirm the authority of proxy.
Documents required for re-description and change procedures after deletion
- All copies or abstracts of family register (excluded) whose maiden name listed in resident certificate and current family register.
※Acceptance certificates and certificate entry items cannot be accepted.
※A copy of certificate of family register is not accepted. The original must be submitted. In addition, originals cannot be refunded.
※If you submit a family register notification, it will take several days for family register to be prepared, so you will not be able to complete the procedure at the same time.
- My Number Card (only for those who have one)
※It is necessary to write your maiden name (old man) on your My Number Card. It cannot be entered on the Basic Resident Register card.
- Identification documents for the person coming to the counter
- When proxy/agent submits a notification, documents such as a power of attorney are required to confirm the authority of proxy.
