If you change your name in Address or your name or expires within three months, you will need to renew your digital certificate.

The expiration date of the digital certificate
When the expiration date of the digital certificate of My Number Card expires, you will not be able to use the convenience store issuance service for various certificates, log in to the minor portal, use of health insurance cards, electronic applications such as e-Tax (electronic tax return), etc. (It can be used as identity verification documents).

Please note that after new issuance and renewal, each digital certificate may not be available until the next day or later.
About renewal of digital certificate
We send you an expiration date notice in a blue envelope or white envelope. Please follow the enclosed information at the My Number Card Special Center or at the ward office Family Registry Division Registration Section.

- At the ward office that does not require a reservation, you can complete the procedure if you come directly, but you may have to wait depending on the congestion situation on the day. Thank you for your understanding.
Those who are going to apply at the My Number Card Special Center
You can renew your digital certificate at the My Number Card Special Center, which has jurisdiction over your ward. Advance reservations are required for the procedure.
※Address, name, etc. cannot be changed at the special center. If there is a change in Address or your name, please go to the ward office in your ward.
※The special center where you can apply for the procedure differs depending on your ward. Specifically, please confirm page of my number card special center.
Procedures for renewing digital certificates
After the next day three months before the expiration date (for example, if the expiration date is July 15: after April 16)
※If you reissue it three months before the expiration date, the expiration date of the newly issued digital certificate will be reduced by one year.

Procedures for issuing and renewing digital certificates
If you are going to do so

- Identification documents (My Number Card, Driver's License, etc.) with a photo issued by a public office in legal representative
- Documents proving the right of representation, such as family register and Certificate of Registration

- If you have forgotten or cannot confirm the PIN set on your My Number Card, you may be asked to legal representative to present one personal identification document with a face photo issued by the public office and another personal identification document.
- In principle, we do not issue a digital certificate for signature to persons under the age of 15 and adult wardes, but if you wish to issue or renew a digital certificate for signature, you must accompany you Is required.

Notes on Identification Documents by legal representative Voluntary proxy/agent
Documents that contain "Name and Date of Birth" or "Name and Address" and whose information is consistent with resident certificate's latest information is required. Documents with an expiration date are limited to those within the expiration date.
Verification of PIN
When renewing the digital certificate, check the set PIN. If you do not verify your PIN, you will not be able to renew your digital certificate, so please check in advance and come to the counter. In the case of procedures by proxy/agent, the staff will verify the password written on the answer sheet and proxy.
