Can I delegate new issuance and renewal of digital certificates to voluntary proxy/agent?

New issuance and renewal procedures for digital certificates can be delegated to any proxy/agent. However, since it is necessary to confirm whether the application is based on the applicant's own will, a document inquiry will be made in advance.
After the procedure by the voluntary proxy/agent, the applicant will be mailed an inquiry response form (confirmation document) to the applicant and complete the procedure when the proxy/agent brings the inquiry response form. It takes a few days for a new digital certificate to be issued or renewed, so please allow enough time.
If you have an "Expiration Notice" that arrives three months before the expiration date, you can fill out the enclosed inquiry response form and leave it with proxy/agent.

※After filling out the personal identification number on the inquiry response form, be sure to put it in an envelope so that it cannot be identified by proxy/agent. If you know your PIN, you will not be able to accept it at the counter.
※Please note that after proxy/agent submits the inquiry response form to the counter, Yokohama City staff will act on behalf of the security code to issue an electronic certificate.
