How do I issue or renew a digital certificate for children under 15 years of age or an adult ward?

New issuance or renewal of a digital certificate for user certification under the age of 15 or an adult ward requires an application by the legal representative.
Digital certificates for signatures are not issued in principle, but they are issued only if they are under 15 years of age or when the adult ward and their legal representative apply together at the counter.

• Weekdays: 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• 2nd and 4th Saturday: From 9 a.m. to noon

• Weekdays (Mon./Tue, Friday): 11:30 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.
• Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

※Closed on Wednesday and Thursday, 3rd Saturday and Sunday of the next day.

• My Number Card for those under 15 years of age or adult ward
• Identification documents with face photo issued by a government office in legal representative
• Documents confirming that it is legal representative
  • Persons under 15 years of age (*): Certificate of all matters of family register
  • Adult wardes: Adult Guardianship Registration Certificate

※If you are under 15 years of age, you may not need to present your family register. If it is not necessary, it is as follows.

• If your domicile is located in Yokohama City
• legal representative and same household in resident certificate

At the counter, you will check the PIN of your My Number Card, so please check in advance.

• For Basic Resident Register: 4 digits
• For digital certificates for user certification: 4 digits
• For signature digital certificates: 6 to 16 digits of mixed alphanumeric characters (when performing procedures)
