Is it possible to prevent the notification of marriage, divorce, etc. may be reported without permission?

By submitting the appeal for rejection Form to the Ward Office Family Registry Division Family Registry Section, you will not be able to accept (reception) the notification unless you can appear at the counter and confirm that you have submitted the notification.

What you bring and presentation destinations are as follows.

Eligible notifications

・Notification of marriage, divorce, adoption, adoption separation, and acknowledgement
・Other notifications such as transfer of domicile are not eligible.

Those who become non-acceptance applicants

・Those who do not intend to submit the target report and become applicant if the notification is made
・The applicant (applicant) is required to appear. (If the applicant cannot appear due to reasons such as hospitalization, please consult with "Ward Office Family Registry Division Family Registry Section.")
・Those who do not become applicant (a third party, such as applicant's parents) cannot make a request for rejection.

The period during which the request can be treated as non-acceptance

There is no limit on the period unless it expires, such as withdrawal of appeal for rejection.

What to bring

・1 appeal for rejection (the application form is common throughout the country.)
(We hand out appeal for rejection form at the ward office Family Registry Division Family Registry Section. We do not handle in city hall, administrative service corner. )
・To verify your identity, you will need to present your identity verification documents (driver's license, passport, my number card, etc.) with a photo. If your identity verification document does not have a photo, such as a National Health Insurance Card, you may be asked to present another identification document or ask questions.

Submission of appeal for rejection

・"Ward Office Family Registry Division Family Registry Section" in the ward where the applicant permanent domicile is located.
(It cannot be handled at the Administrative Service Corner and City Hall.)
・You can also submit it in areas other than your home address.
・It is not possible to submit by mail.
(If you are a foreign resident, please consult with "Ward Office Family Registry Division Family Registry Section.")

When an application for non-acceptance is no longer required

・If you no longer need to submit a non-acceptance application, you will need to submit a withdrawal application form for withdrawal of rejection.
(Please refer to "Ward Office Family Registry Division Family Registry Section" for details on the withdrawal procedure.)
