"Proposal from citizen" is system to have you send opinions to Yokohama municipal administration by letter or e-mail from individuals.
Opinions received will be sent to the department in charge from the ward office of the ward where you live and reflect them in municipal administration.
※We do not accept "suggestion from citizen" by telephone. If you would like to send your opinions over the phone, please talk directly to the department in charge.

1 Proposal Method

2 Reception
Reception will be made by the ward office Ward Administration Promotion Division of the ward where the citizens live (for those living outside the city, the Public Affairs Bureau Public Affairs and Consultation Section) and delivered to the department in charge of the proposal.

- In principle, opinions that are under the jurisdiction of external organizations (other government, prefectures, police and other local governments, and corporations engaged in electricity, gas, transportation, and other public interest projects) are not accepted. Sorry to trouble you, but please contact the relevant external organization directly. Please note that depending on the situation, we may inform external organizations with consideration given to the protection of personal information.

3 Answers
In principle, the department in charge of the content of opinions, etc., will respond by the 10th opening date, starting from the day after the reception date.
In the case of documents, we will respond upon shipment. If it takes time to respond, we will contact you to that effect.

- The criteria for the reception date is the arrival date for letters and submission forms, and the date of receipt for e-mail or fax. However, those that have arrived or received after 4:00 pm on the opening day, and those that have arrived or received on closed days, in principle, the next open agency date is the reception date.

4 Announcement
For the three purposes of "securing transparency of municipal administration", "resolving questions about municipal administration and sharing information between citizens" and "promoting a virtuous cycle of measures that further reflect citizens' opinions in measures" About thing which Motoichi answered by "document" or "e-mail", after considering personal information protection, we announce summary such as opinions that had you approach and answer of Motoichi to it on "citizen's voice" (out page)
The following procedures will be handled as follows.
- Yokohama City summarizes the contents of the opinions you have received, and will announce it after considering personal information protection.
- After responding to the person who posted, we will announce it within 4 weeks at the latest. The publication period is, in principle, one year.

5 Handling of Personal Information
Personal information, such as your name, will be properly managed in accordance with the provisions of the "Personal Information Protection Law". In addition, it will be used only for the purpose of referring to the relevant work in the department in charge of the contents of opinions, etc., and for the purpose of responding to opinions.
In addition, about opinions outside Motoichi jurisdiction, we may tell outside organization after considering personal information protection.
