What should I do with my number card when moving overseas or moving in from abroad?

Please show your My Number Card at the counter when you transfer to overseas or transfer notification from overseas.
Notification of transfer to overseas
In the postscript column on the front of My Number Card, indicate that you have been transferred overseas and return it to the customer. Please keep it in a safe place so that you do not lose it after leaving Japan.
Transference notifications from overseas
Please bring your My Number Card issued before departure at the time of transfer notification. The original card will be collected and a new My Number card will be issued.
Please note that if the original card cannot be collected, a fee (1000 yen) will be charged.
