| Local production for local consumption For Initiatives | Since 1989, the Working Center for Employment of Persons with Severely Disabled Persons, we have been involved in the Yokohama City Agricultural Employment Support Project, a business of Yokohama City since 1989. In the meantime, I asked you to use "Hama Park" named "Yokohama" in the night set meal and lunch set meals at the restaurant's night set meal and lunch set meals at the restaurant. We have been using it for menu since 2015. At events, etc., "Hamapaku Meat Man" is also sold and has been well received. Recently, users of the Employment Transition Support Center for Persons with Disabilities have also incorporated agricultural products from planting to harvesting seedlings in the fields of farmers in Yokohama City. With this as the first step, we would like to contribute to the development of local agriculture by consuming vegetables and livestock products made by farmers and facilities for the disabled in Yokohama. |

| Reason for recommendation | I got acquainted with the Yokohama City Agricultural Employment Support Project with the Yokohama City Intellectual Disabilities Development Association Working Center. As an agricultural helper, I came to learn agriculture for employment of people with disabilities. In 1999, we also hired one person with intellectual disabilities. Since then, he has continued to be an agricultural helper and provided a menu using "Hama Park" at "Restaurant Ayumi" at Ayumiso, Yokohama, which was commissioned as a place for employment of people with disabilities. Recently, there has been an interest in agriculture in the field of welfare. We hope that Yokohama citizens and people with disabilities will be able to know about Yokohama's agriculture by using a restaurant that is familiar to both locals and people with disabilities. |
