Safety of My Number Card

"Is my number card safe?" I would like to explain what you think about such a question.

1 If another person sees my number (personal number)

Others cannot use your My Number to proceed.

In the process of using My Number, it is difficult to abuse because identification documents with a photo of your face are required.

Even if you know your My Number, you will not be able to check your personal information.

  • The scope of use of My Number, collection and storage are strictly restricted by law.
  • Since it is not a mechanism to centrally manage personal information, information does not leak in a potato style.

2 Will my information be monitored with my number?

The My Number system is not a system that centrally manages all information.

The My Number system is not a system (centralized management) that collects and manages your information in one place. In managing information, personal information that had been managed by each organization until now is continuously managed by that organization, and a system called "distributed management" is adopted in which necessary information is exchanged only when necessary. We do not create a specific common database, so information is not leaked from such places.

3 Lost or Stealing My Number Card

If you lose your My Number Card, you will not be able to abuse it.

Even if it is lost or stolen, it cannot be impersonated by a third party because it has a photo of your face. In addition, the My Number Card has special processing, such as engraving characters with a laser and applying a complicated color pattern pattern, making it difficult for counterfeiting the face.

The IC chip does not contain highly privacy information.

The IC chip on My Number Card does not contain highly privacy information such as tax, pension, medical examination results, or medicine information.

If you try to read information illegally, the IC chip will be broken.

The 4-digit PIN required to read the IC chip will be locked if the wrong number of times a certain number of times, and the lock cannot be unlocked unless the person himself / herself performs the procedure. In addition, if you try to read information illegally, the IC chip is automatically broken, ensuring high security.

We accept temporary suspension of use of My Number Cards 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

If you lose your card, you can use the card temporarily by calling "My Number Comprehensive Toll Free Number (0120-95-0178)" and temporarily suspend the card. Foreign languages are also supported (English, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Portuguese).
