You can now apply for a passport renewal online.
From Monday, March 27, 2023, you can now apply for renewal applications such as when your passport is less than one year, you can apply online from your smartphone or PC. For more information, see the Government Public Relations Online "Passports can be renewed on smartphones. Online application will start on March 27, 2023! Please refer to the following page.
Service equipped with digital certificates for smartphones (available only compatible Android devices)
For those who have a My Number Card, a smartphone app download service (with a card function) with the same function as My Number Card (digital certificate for signature and user certification) will be launched in 2023 It started on May 11th. （Digital Agency Public Relations Flyer (PDF: 582KB)）
