About change of PIN of my number card (electronic certificate)
If you have forgotten your PIN or locked it, you will need to reset it at the ward office or My Number Card Special Center.

Notice
You can reset your PIN at a convenience store!
If you can enter the PIN (four digits) of the digital certificate for user certificate, reset the PIN (6 to 16 digits mixed with alphanumeric characters) at compatible convenience stores nationwide. I can do it. For more information, please refer to the section on resetting your PIN at convenience store.
Those who have been locked at a medical institution
If the card reader installed at a medical institution, etc., it is locked when trying to read your My Number card, a reset procedure is required.
Main reasons for change
- I want to change my current PIN to another one.
- I forgot my PIN.
- The PIN has been locked at a convenience store, etc. (the PIN must be reset)
- I have locked my number card at a medical institution
- I have locked my PIN during the vaccination certificate procedure
If you want to change your current PIN to another PIN
You can change the PIN from a smartphone or PC using the minor portal or user client software only if the current PIN is known. Please refer to the following page for details on how to install.

- Weekdays: 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- 2nd and 4th Saturday: From 9 a.m. to noon
My Number Card Special Center, which has jurisdiction over your ward
You can also apply on weekdays and nights, weekends and holidays.
- Weekdays (Mon./Tue, Friday): 11:30 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.
- Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
※Water, Thursday and the third Saturday and Sunday of the next day are closed.

※If proxy/agent does the procedure instead, the procedure will be based on the document inquiry method (the procedure later). It takes a few days to complete the procedure, so please allow yourself to complete the procedure.
- After the procedure by proxy/agent, we will mail an inquiry and a power of attorney to confirm your PIN from the ward office or My Number Card Special Center.
- Please fill in the inquiry form and letter of attorney and power of attorney.
- Please delegate to any proxy/agent to submit your My Number Card, Inquiry Form and Power of Attorney to the ward office or My Number Card Special Center. (proxy/agent needs to present identification documents with a face photo issued by public office.)
- Set a new PIN at the ward office or My Number Card Special Center and return it to proxy/agent.

Reset the PIN at a convenience store
You can reset the password of the digital certificate for signature (6 to 16 digits mixed alphanumeric characters) at the convenience store only if you can enter the PIN (4 digits) of the user certificate digital certificate.
It is necessary to install a smartphone compatible with My Number Card and a dedicated application, but you do not need to visit the ward office, and you can apply on weekdays, nights and weekends, so please use it.

If you enter the wrong 4-digit PIN three times and the PIN for the signature digital certificate 5 times, the lock will be locked.
