Part 1:
[Part 1] "If the Great East Japan Earthquake occurs now,"
No matter how much stock is prepared for a sudden earthquake disaster, nothing will happen if you lose your life first. That's why I first told you that it is important to save my life and survive. To that end, I learned about "avoid", "withstanding", "escaping", and "shinogu" of disasters, and it was an opportunity to think in light of my own residence.
In addition, we were able to obtain a lot of useful information on new seismic standards, the advantages and disadvantages of evacuation at home, and the mechanism of support for survivors. " Many people said, "I would like to actively participate in local disaster drill."

Let's play the second part crossroads game!
[Part 2] "Let's do a disaster prevention crossroads game!"
The game was divided into groups of 5 people.
The disaster prevention crossroads game is in the middle of the Great East Japan Earthquake, "What if this happens to me?" It's a game that answers the question, "The answer I make then is yes or no?"
However, it's not a simple question. No matter which one you choose, it contains a painful reality.
After each person responds, they listen to their opinions within the group and give answers as a group.
Sometimes you are convinced of the opposite opinion and want to change your opinion. As I challenged several questions, I felt that conversations within the group increased and mutual understanding deepened.
In addition, it has become clear that answers that could not be given immediately in the game can be solved by preparing and preparing them now.
From Izumi inhabitant of a ward activity support center
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Great Kanto Earthquake, and this year was a year when TV programs and events often saw the word "earthquake". Nevertheless, what measures will be taken in the area where you live, how large disasters are expected, how much will be expected until the public utilities is restored, and what kind of evacuation centers will be? It's also true that there are many things you don't know.
For this reason, in the first half of this course, we organized a lecture on disaster and disaster prevention with a focus on Izumi Ward. In the second half, we played a “Disaster Prevention Crossroads Game” so that we could feel a little closer to the situation actually facing the earthquake. I think the effect of this game is that by participating in the game and having trouble choosing between them, you can see the lack of disaster prevention knowledge and awareness that you had assumed.
I hope that the participants will be able to review disaster prevention from a new perspective, and that this course will be talked about in Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations, where they live, and will be able to use it as much as possible to cope with the earthquake disaster throughout the region.
The Izumi Citizens' Activities Support Center will continue to support local activities and human resources in Izumi Ward through lectures and human resources banks. We look forward to your participation and inquiries.
