State of the venue
At the beginning of the course, they taught me the weather phenomena specifically from the weather forecasts and news I watch every day. In addition, after understanding why heavy rain and lightning occur, what dangers are there, and what we need to pay attention to, we examined how to read hazard maps and dangerous places in Izumi Ward on drawings.
In the second half of the course, we conducted experiments on weather that could be easily performed using familiar things. We had a good time in experiments to make clouds, experiments to make tornadoes, experiments to visualize invisible air pressure, and experiments to make snow crystals.
In the last question and answer session of the course, we received many questions, such as the state of the sky and the hazard map, which we were worried about in daily life, and the lecturer gave a careful explanation. In response to the questionnaire in this course, there were many people who said that there was a change in consciousness and behavior in the future, such as "What I thought was common sense until now was wrong," "I enjoyed the experiment back to school days," "I would like to take a picture of Izumi Ward with my own hazard map."

From Izumi inhabitant of a ward activity support center
Both the beautiful and clear blue sky and the stormy weather that strikes us also tell us about the greatness and activities of nature. In this course, we will change the wonders of weather into knowledge, obtain correct information and take action in the event of a disaster, protect the lives of yourself and your family, spread it to local activities, and the importance of them. I learned.
The concept of disaster prevention and evacuation may be different from what we used to see and hear. By all means, I would like you to have the opportunity to talk with your family and the people around you about weather and disaster prevention during normal times and look up at the sky every day.
In Izumi inhabitant of a ward activity support center, we support lifelong learning and local activity through lecture and plan event in future. We look forward to your participation and inquiries.
