JAFA(Japan Air Cargo Forwarders Association)
Air Freight Transport Association. Established with the aim of contributing to the sound development of the air freight industry, the protection of users, and the enhancement of their convenience. In June 1991, the company obtained approval as an incorporated association under the jurisdiction of both Okura and Transport ministries.
JAGFC(Japan-Atlantic & Gulf Freight Conference)
Japan/United States Atlantic Coast-Garf Alliance. Japan has jurisdiction over the East Coast and Gulf region of the United States. In consultation with TPFC, the fare increase can be implemented in a lump sum.
JALTOS(Japan Air Lines Terminal Operation System)
It is fully automated by computer at a large cargo terminal (shed) of approximately 52,000 m2 constructed by Japan Airlines at Narita Airport. Information systems such as reservations and accounting and cargo handling systems such as cargo storage, sorting, and loading are linked online and real-time.

JASTPRO(Japan Association for Simplification of international Trade Procedure)
The English name of the Japan Trade Relations Association.
JECFC(Japan East Canada Freight Conference)
Japan/East Canada Alliance. It is responsible for trade from Japan to ports on the east coast of Canada, the St Laurence River, and Canadian ports along the Great Lakes. As of March 1994, there are two members, MOL and NYK.

JETRO(Japan External Trade Organization)
Japan External Trade Organization. A total government-funded special corporation that comprehensively engages in business that leads to Japan's trade promotion. The company has established 25 Japan Trade Centers and 49 JETRO offices in 59 countries around the world, conducting research on overseas markets and published a white paper on overseas markets.

JICA(Japan International Co-operation Agency)
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Established in 1974 with full-government funding as an organization in charge of technical cooperation for developing countries and overseas migration of Japanese people. Port and Harbor Bureau dispatched staff from 1978 to 1993 to provide technical assistance overseas.
JIFFA(Japan International Freight Forwarders Association)
English name of the Japan International Fred Forwarders Association. Established in 1981 as an organization of international integrated transportation companies.
JIT(Just In Time)

JSA(Japanese Shipowner’s Association)
English name of the Japan Shipowners Association.

JV(Joint Venture)
A partner company. Refers to a merger business.
JWCFC(Japan West Canada Freight Conference)
Japan/Western Canada Alliance. It is responsible for maritime transport from Japan to Canada's western ports. It also includes MLB and IPI because it has multiple transportation jurisdictions. Canada's Liner Regulation Law allows exclusion of the Antimonopoly Act. As of March 1994, the members are KL, MOL, NYK, and NOL.
