Supervisor (stor)
It's the general manager. It is placed on the Forman. Although its duties are difficult to separate from Forman, after entering the ship, they will hold basic meetings on cargo handling with first class sailors and captains, changes important cargo handling plans, and contact meetings with the shipping company. Water surface storage
A place where logs are mainly floated on the surface of the water. Water storage has the advantage that the property of wood is less likely to change and is suitable for long-term storage. Scrap-and-build method

Special cargo. General term for cargo that requires special equipment for transportation and storage in terms of nature, shape, weight or price of cargo. Special cargo list
Dangerous goods created by shipping companies. A general term for a list of special cargo such as raw flora and fauna, refrigerated cargo.

Slide van body system
A cooperative transportation method of railways and trucks. A method in which a truck is laid side by side to a railway wagon and transshipped to a wagon, using the winch and wires installed on the truck bed. There is no need to use cargo handling equipment such as forklifts. As an advantage, (1) it can also be used at railway stations without cargo handling machines. (2)One driver can operate cargo handling operations. (3)Due to the horizontal cargo handling, there is little damage to the cargo, and the packaging can be simplified. Therefore, transportation speeds up, loading efficiency, and cost reduction can be achieved.
slip (flat)
(1)Slope or a sloping shipyard for repair of ships.
(2)The between the jet and the jet at the pier. Slip width becomes a problem with the size of containerships.
slot (slot)
A common name for container loading space in containerships.
