Bass cargo
In a single voyage, refers to the cargo that is the center or basis of its revenue from ship transportation.
Bear charter
This is a form of a ship rental contract, whereas a time charter contract obtains the right to use a ship as a transportation agency, whereas a naked ship is a contract that leases the ship itself. Accordingly, the charterer shall bear all expenses required for navigation, such as the allocation of crew members.
Average inventory
An index that indicates how much cargo was placed on average per day in the facility. City of Yokohama, Port and Harbor Bureau calculates the daily inventory by dividing the number of days in the month.
bay plan
Refers to the loading (plan) table for containerships. Each container is represented by squares for each loading place (BAY No.) and is created in consideration of loading, unloading land, weight, cargo quality (dangerous goods, frozen cargo, etc.) and container type. This is an essential document for loading.
Flag of Convenience (FOC)
A ship whose registration is registered in a country that provides convenience in terms of taxes or other reasons. Countries such as Liberia, Panama, Bermuda, New Hebrides and Nauru have low vessel-related taxes, have few strict maritime laws and regulations, and have no obligation to ship crew members. Therefore, the measures used to reduce the cost of ship operations by establishing a paper company here, and by chartering it as a shipowner.
pen container (pen container)
Container for animal transport. Containers that have unique ideas such as roofs, ventilation windows, cleaning outlets, drains, feeding boxes, etc. to transport living animals such as cows, horses, and sheep.
Venator (ventilater)
The vent of the ship.
