BAF(Bunker Adjustment Factor)
It is a component of maritime transportation, introduced in each fare alliance after the oil crisis. It is included in the fare so that the shipowner can bear the loss of fuel oil (bunker) used on the ship.

It is usually said that if it exceeds 5PPM, it will lose self-cleaning ability.
