22.Koi of Katabira River (near Chuo 1-37-24)
There is a theory that Katabira River was originally "Kata Hirakawa." It seems that the name was given because the northern coast was flat, but some smart person may have applied the word "mail mail".
According to old documents, the mouth of the Katabira River pouring into Sodegaura was quite wide. The width of the river is two or three times, and it seems to have been quite crowded as a distribution center for various supplies. The area around Hodogaya is in the middle, and the headwaters go back to Kamikawai in Asahi Ward.
The other day, there was a large carp that would be 50 centimeters on the surface of this river. ※He was swimming slowly with his kins. Due to the close proximity of the sea, a group of dash (a young bora fish) was swimming nearby, probably because of the brackish waters mixed with seawater and freshwater. It is said that this river used to have carp, eel, and mokusou crab.
