59.Rinko Park (Seaside Park) Fruit Tree (Minatomirai 1-chome 1)
There is a mysterious tree in the grove in the northern corner of Rinko Park (Seaside Park), Minato Mirai 1-chome. Supported by a thick trunk, colorful fruits and vegetables are growing steadily. Named fruit tree. This work was exhibited at the Yokohama Triennale 2001 in 2001, and the author is Korean molding artist Che Jon Fah.
The fruit tree, which prayed for fertility and peace, was of course highly evaluated, but the local Fuji Lions Club purchased it as a commemorative project to commemorate the 30th anniversary of its establishment, and donated it to Yokohama City after the end of the exhibition. And installed here.
This area, where you can see Bay Bridge and ships coming and going up close, will be attracting attention as a new date spot in Yokohama.
