70.Rest in the rooftop paradise (Minamiko 1-chome 5-1)
There was a place to Yokohama-sta.-nishiguchi that had been quite busy, but there was a place that had never been before.
It is the "Joey Eggplant Forest" on the roof of Joey Eggplant. With its completion in 1978, it has a calm appearance, and when you take a break on the bench, you can feel as if you were in a natural forest, such as the singing of birds and the sound of the wind blowing through the dense trees.
Since around last year, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has begun an experiment on rooftop greening as a measure against heat islands, and Kawasaki City and others are promoting subsidies under the concept of `` rooftops as urban paradise ''. Should it be said that Joey eggplant forest is about 20 years ahead?
It is also nice that sculptures of famous artists in Japan and overseas are exhibited everywhere. Please enjoy it.
