Seven turns in Higashikubo-cho

The place name "Seven Bends" is found all over the country. Yokohama is no exception, but this seven-turn is a steep slope from the entrance facing National Route 1 to Higashikubo-cho and Fujimioka Gakuen.

Forty-eight folds on a winding road like a sheep's intestine. Like ivy kazura, when it comes to a finely curved road, it is read as ninety-nine folding. Sugiyama Shrine, located right next to the west border of Nishi Ward, belongs to Hodogaya Ward.

Nowadays concrete stairs continue between the houses that are combing, but in my memory half a century ago, the houses were sparse, and the surroundings were grassy and quite difficult. Speaking of the unchanging scenery, is it about the fun chatting of girls, junior and senior high school students on the hill?
