69.Monument of Dr. Tanko (4-336 Sengencho)
There is a small park called Asama Garage-mae Park in 4-chome Sengencho. Next to the city bus garage, the upper floor is a sports center in Nishi Ward. In a corner of the park, there is a stone monument that seems to have been exposed to the snow and endured the war, which was magazine "Kimura Danchi-sensei no Michi".
Mr. Tanjin was born in Sendai in 1853 in Kaei era (1853), and educator Taran and Kurahama. He taught, but worried that there were many preschoolers at that time, so he resigned as the principal of Mailiko Elementary School, threw private property, and established a private "Neitoku Hirone Elementary School" in 1914. He is a person who has committed himself to realizing his ideal.
However, in 1923, when he finally started to track, he ended his life on the day of the opening ceremony due to the Great Kanto Earthquake. This monument was built by volunteers in memory of the teacher's virtue.
