9.Nostalgia of the slope (8 of 19, Higashikubo-cho, now relocated outside the ward)
On the way uphill from Kubocho to Fujimioka Gakuen, I saw a person carrying a large Furoshi wrapper. As soon as I thought it was nostalgia, a time slip occurred in me about half a century.
Yes, this was a great playground for our poor children. The trees and grass grew strong, the ivy entangled, the insects, the tadpoles, and snakes. Everybody was Tarzan.
Even so, it was this store that caught our hearts and kept them away. The strange, strange things in the glass bottles lined up. The eyes of the living snakes entangled, thyrothyro and black tongue. The children were inspired by fear and longing for the unknown world by pushing their foreheads on the glass of the window.
