36.Akamon Tofuku-ji Temple of Aoi's Omon (near 2-17 Akamoncho)
Speaking of Akamon, it seems that the market price is fixed at the University of Tokyo, but there is also a remarkable Akamon in Yokohama. Edo was built in Bunsei 10 (1827), when the daughter of Shogun Ienari, Sohime married the Maeda family of the Kaga clan. It is said that it was founded during the Kangen era (1243-7). It is a famous temple that Ieyasu Tokugawa gave the territory of the temple in 1591, and at that time it was allowed to use the crest of Aoi.
The mountain gate used to be a magnificent one on the second floor, but it has been burned out seven times since its foundation, including the war damage, and the current one was rebuilt in 1960. The main god is the Kanzeon Bodhisattva of 90 cm. In addition, at the grave of this temple, there are Fukiro Okura, which was famous as a female masterpiece of Yokohama, and the tomb of the writer Shin Hasegawa family.
