74.Hyakudanzaka in Kasumigaoka (near Kasumigaoka 15-1)
The town name Kasumigaoka was newly established separately from Minamiota-cho when the town name was rearranged in July 1935. Around No. 15, there is a steep stone stairway on the left, a little down from where the former Tetsu Onsen was located.
Of course, it was a slope that had existed before the war, and it was said that it was a narrow road, but now it is well maintained with concrete. This is the shortest way to reach a corner of Nogeyama Park, 50 meters above sea level. Locally, it is called "Hyakudanzaka", but if you look at it, there were 112 steps.
The radio tower standing at the top of the mountain is a taxi company, but there is an observatory on Mt. Noge nearby, and if the weather is fine, you can see not only the city but also the Mount Fuji and Tanzawa Massif.
