　On Tuesday, August 1, a food poisoning prevention campaign was held with the members of the Nishi Ward Food Sanitation Association at Yokohama New City Plaza (in front of the basement 2nd floor of the Yokohama Station East Exit Sogo Dept. Store (Shin-Toshi Hall) Yokohama Store).

　Yokohama City has designated August 1 as "Citizen Food Sanitation Day" and aims at zero food poisoning. The Food Sanitation Association of each ward and the Health and Welfare Center of each ward co-sponsor a campaign to prevent food poisoning from July to November.
　For the first time in four years, partly due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Nishi Ward held a campaign to prevent food poisoning.

　In addition, as in the previous fiscal year, the Nishi Ward Food Sanitation Association provided clear files and stickers to educate about 6,000 elementary school students, nursery schools, kindergartens and other kindergartens in Nishi Ward to raise awareness of "correct hand washing." On the day of the campaign, a presentation ceremony was held, and Mr. Yokoyama, Director of Minami-Asuma Nursery School in Yokohama, talked about how the children were working hard to wash their hands while watching the stickers. I hope that the correct hand washing method will be transmitted to children and that it will help prevent food poisoning even a little.
