It's fun! (The wisteria flowers are at their best on April 21)
Nishi Ward is working with local people to regenerate wisteria flowers.
Last Updated April 21, 2023
As the name "Fujidanacho" is known, there are many Fujidanas in parks and other places in Nishi Ward, but Fujidana, which has less flowers than a long time ago, has become conspicuous. For wisteria, it is important to prun the summer after the flowers are over and the winter pruning to prepare new flower buds. It seems that fertilizers are also different in summer and winter.
Public Works Office, which manages the park, has been working to regenerate flowers for three years, and recently many flowers have come to bloom in Tobe Koen and Hamamatsucho Parks. We also hold workshops for local people to learn how to manage wisteria properly so that many flowers can bloom in Fujidana outside of the park.
Looking at the beautiful wisteria flowers, I would like to thank the local people and the park protection society for their affectionate support in the park, such as cleaning and planting flower seedlings.
The ward office distributes a reproduction map of wisteria flowers. Take a walk and visit nearby Fujidana.
