　On April 23, Higashikubo-cho dream town development meeting disaster prevention walk rally was held.
　The Higashikubo Town Dream Town Development Council is an organization of three Neighborhood Association and Neighborhood Associations: Higashikubo Town Tohokai, Higashikubo Town Dongtai Association, and Higashikubo Town Higashi Mutsukai. It is an organization that aims to create a living environment where people can continue living with peace of mind.
　On the day, more than 200 people, from small children to elderly people, participated in the walking day when the sun peeks through the clouds, a seismic vehicle, water fire extinguisher, smoke experience house In addition to experiencing the bucket relay, we walked around the town while doing a stamp rally for Nishimaro-chan and confirmed the evacuation route.
　At each point of the stamp rally, there was an exhibition where you can touch emergency supplies, cardboard beds, and portable toilets, and there were mechanisms that allow you to learn and experience disaster prevention while having fun and strolling.
　For disaster countermeasures, daily preparation and connections between neighbors are important. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has been promoting the importance of self support and promoting community support's efforts.
　The ward office will also work together with the local community to promote disaster-resistant town development.
