　For fourth graders at Fujimidai Elementary School, a class on "Disaster Prevention Community Development" was held by the staff of the Higashikubo Town Dream Town Development Council and the City of Yokohama, Urban Development Bureau Disaster Prevention Town Development Promotion Section.
　There are various types of disasters, such as earthquakes, floods, tsunami, and eruptions. We challenged group work to consider creating a disaster-resistant town while comparing and searching for mistakes with illustrations before and after the countermeasures.
　Higashikubo-cho dream town development meeting talked about handrail setting by stairs repair in area, maintenance of disaster prevention plaza, maintenance of disaster prevention open space, safety confirmation training. Thank you very much.
　Disaster countermeasures include government support, which the city hall works on, community support, which the community works, and self support, where families and citizens work on. The fourth graders were actively participating in the class, and they were eager to ask questions about the seismic breaker, which is an initiative of self support.
