　For fourth-year students at Fujimidai Elementary School, a class on "Disaster prevention town development that is being carried out nearby" was held by the staff of the Higashikubo Town Dream Town Development Council and the City of Yokohama, Urban Development Bureau Disaster Prevention Town Development Promotion Section. .
　There are various types of disasters, such as earthquakes, floods, tsunami, and eruptions. In this class, we started with quizzes around Fujimidai Elementary School to consider what kind of disaster risk is high, compared simulations of earthquake fires, and tried group work to think about disaster-resistant town development while searching for mistakes using illustrations before and after countermeasures.
　Higashikubo-cho dream town development meeting talked about approach for town development resisting disaster including handrail setting by stairs repair in area, maintenance of disaster prevention open space, safety confirmation training. Thank you very much.
　Disaster countermeasures include the government support, which is undertaken by the City Hall, the community support, the local community, and the self support. The fourth graders were actively participating in classes, and questions about the seismic breaker, which is an initiative of self support.
