Last Updated July 13, 2023
On Sunday, July 2, the 73rd Nishi Ward Promotion Campaign was held in Nishi public hall. The program on the day was composed of three parts, the first part was "5 Appointment Ceremony for Junior Volunteers in District 5", the second part was "Message Ceremony for the Prime Minister of the Movement to Brighten Society", and the third part was "Ukraine Support Concert". In addition, Okano Junior High School's brass band, Japanese drum club, sign language club, and Hiranuma marching band showed their daily results and excited the venue.
In Part 1, “Fifth District Junior Volunteer 5 Appointment Ceremony”, a total of 35 people, from elementary school students to high school students, were appointed as junior volunteers in FY2023. This initiative is for local children to volunteer at various events and welfare projects held in the fifth district during the summer vacation and other periods, and since 2018 as a unique initiative of the fifth district Has been continued. This is a very attracting attention while the shortage of leaders in the region has become an issue. I would like you to gain a lot of experience that you can not learn with everyday classes alone, such as deepening your understanding of welfare and volunteers, and fostering appreciation and compassion. The light blue bibs (bibs) is a landmark. If you see it at an event, please support me.
The second part was the "Message Communication Ceremony for the Prime Minister of the Movement to Brighten Society." The Movement to Brighten Society means that all citizens deepen their understanding of the prevention of crime and delinquency and the rehabilitation of those who committed crime and delinquency, work together in their respective positions, and are safe and secure without crime and delinquency. This is a nationwide campaign to build a bright and bright community, and is celebrating its 73rd anniversary this year. This year's theme is "Living the difficulty of living."
The background of crime and delinquency is often "difficult to live" such as undesired loneliness and social isolation. The Prime Minister's message stated that it is important to be close to such "difficulty of living" and create an area where people support each other. This concept is in common with the goal of the Nishi Ward Community Welfare and Health Plan “Nikomachi Plan,” which is aimed at by everyone. I would like to thank Nishi Ward, the Nishi Ward Rehabilitation Women's Association and the Nishi Ward BBS Association for their hard work every day, and I will continue to work together with you.
The third part was entitled "Ukraine Support Concert", where Ukrainian-born Caterina played the folk instrument Bandura. I was fascinated by the beautiful tone and singing voice, and once again carved the preciousness of peace in my heart. Finally, in response to the encore, they sang "Furusato" with everyone at the venue, and everyone's heart became one.
I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the 73rd Nishi Ward Promotion Conference, a campaign to brighten society. The ward office will also work with local residents with the aim of becoming a town where everyone can smile and happiness while cherishing connections. Thank you very much.
