Ippommatsu Elementary School and Karuizawa Junior High School on the 3rd and Tobe Elementary School, Nisimae Elementary School, Inaridai Elementary School, Sengendai Elementary School, Nisi Junior High School, Oimatsu Junior High School and Okano Junior High School on the 10thevacuation shelter.

　At each site, various trainings were conducted, such as watching disaster prevention videos, setting up evacuation shelters, dividing them in gymnasiums, assembling toilets, checking supplies in disaster prevention storage, and conducting supply of hot meals. In recent years, disaster drill has been canceled or reduced due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but this time there are many places that can be implemented as before the COVID-19 pandemic. Some bases were attended by a large number of residents, and the enthusiasm of everyone was transmitted. In addition, we plan to conduct training at other sites in the future.

　I don't know when a disaster will happen. Such training is very important so that you can act quickly whenever a major earthquake occurs. In the event of a major earthquake, the ward office will immediately set up a response headquarters and work together to respond to disasters. We will do our best to deliver necessary information and supplies to the residents as soon as possible, but in the event of a major disaster, it is very important to help each other with neighbors and local people.
