The Higashikubo Town Dream Town Development Council is an organization consisting of three Neighborhood Association and Neighborhood Associations: Higashikubo Town Tohokai, Higashikubo Town Dongtai Association, and Higashikubo Town Higashi Mutsukai. We are working to create a living environment where we can continue to live with peace of mind.
In 2003, the areas including the above three Neighborhood Association Neighborhood Associations, was designated as a target area for Yokohama's "Ichi Michi-machi Improvement Project."
After that, the Higashikubo Town Dream Town Development Council was launched in July 2005, and questionnaires and workshops for local residents were repeated, and in 2007, the Higashikubo Town Dream Town Development Council Disaster Prevention Town Development Plan was created. Based on this plan, we have carried out a wide range of activities, including environmental improvement and disaster drill. On the other hand, we have begun to work on issues that cannot be solved yet or initiatives that are not described in the old plan, so we reviewed the plan and formulated a new plan in 2020.
In June 2021, our efforts to develop disaster-prevention community development were highly evaluated, and as an organization that has contributed to the development of a fascinating city.
Received the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Award for Community Development.
