Furniture is a time capsule filled with messages from the predecessor.

I have been working with the idea of "leaving furniture making technology for future generations."

Yokohama Furniture can be manufactured with high quality, and can be repaired and repaired, so it can be used for a long time, for generations, with attachment.

For furniture craftsmen, furniture made decades ago is a time capsule filled with the messages of the ancestors.

While taking in the feelings of the craftsmen who worked on it, we make the technology ourselves, refine it neatly, and hand it over to the next generation.

The furniture made by Mr. Uchida will also be a time capsule for craftsmen who inherit the technology of Yokohama furniture.

We hold "Furniture Craftsman Training Seminar" to provide basic technical guidance for becoming a furniture craftsman and training course for graduates to acquire even higher skills.

We send out as many engineers as possible and hope that Yokohama will become a production area for furniture production again.

Meister's skill

Masato Uchida Meister’s work

Even if it is the same material, there is the right material in the right place, and by taking the wood (removal of parts) considering it, excellent durability is created.

We respond to individual needs and challenge new designs, and finish flats and various curved surfaces at each point with more than 400 planes.

In addition, assuming repairs and repairs to be performed in the future, furniture is produced with a consistent idea and knowledge of material sorting, design, structure, assembly, finishing, painting, etc.

The technology for producing Yokohama furniture is intended to materialize the design, and we are aiming for further evolution with a two-way tripod of technology and design.
