Manufacturing is a repetition of self-question

Mr. Yamamura has been involved in dyeing various fabrics, including Yokohama's specialty product "Yokohama Scarf", which has a tradition of more than 100 years.

"I read the era one step ahead and still make various works." "Manufacturing is a repetition of self-question. You have to find a task on your own and overcome it yourself," says Yamamura.

If you spread the antenna widely with a strong desire to create a new product, hints will jump in from unexpected places. It seems that it is important to grasp the hint at the right time and firmly.

In addition to fostering successors, he actively participates in events such as exhibitions held in Yokohama, and widely communicates the skills of dyeing and weaving, including "Yokohama Scarves" to the citizens and contribute to the promotion of local culture.

Meister's skill

Work of Yamamura subsidized Meister

In an industry that is often mass-produced by machine, we are working on hand-drawn mass production.

The hand-painted dyeing technique, devised in the thirties is a technique of drawing a single piece of cloth in the air and draw a pattern with freehand using a brush. The same pattern can be drawn in large quantities and the taste of handicrafts can be obtained. In addition, there are more than 100 types of techniques developed, such as action paint (air drawing method), ink dyeing, armor dyeing, and uneven dyeing.

The original work was developed, and the work was certified as Yokohama 001 goods.
