The classic European technique of stained glass is different from simply connecting colored glass with a lead bar or copper adhesive tape, and the glass is corrode the glass with chemicals, painted with glaze and baked many times in the furnace. Finally, connect with a lead cross to complete the work.

Mr. Hirayama has made his own furnace for firing glass and equipment for corrosion, and all the color plate glass is from France and Germany, and orders glazes are also ordered from a workshop in France.

Based on classical techniques and high-level skills learned in real France, we are not only pursuing the beauty of stained glass while incorporating cutting-edge modern techniques, we also strive to create works that match the climate and climate of Japan. .

In addition, the reinforcement method incorporates the traditional French church building method so that stained glass can be reused even if the building is broken over years.

After completing the Musashino Art University Practical Research Course, he joined the stained glass workshop where he had been apprentice while in school.

At the age of 27, he studied at the stained glass department of the National Institute of Advanced Art and Design in France.

He studied the classic stained glass technique for three years, and after returning to Japan, established a workshop in Tokyo. When he was 34 years old, he moved his studio to a hill full of light in Yokohama.

While ordering production in the workshop, he holds a classical technique classroom once a week.

In addition to working on numerous large-scale productions such as the main hall of Hossho-ji Temple, Yokohama City University, Toyama City Arts and Culture Hall, and Bunshodo Ginza Building, he has restored stained glass at the Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall.
