Promotion of reading activities for Yokohama citizens

About holding of "workshop to talk about reading of all" and conduct of questionnaire (the third Yokohama citizen book-reading activity promotion plan)

In Yokohama-shi, we examine for development of the third Yokohama citizen book-reading activity promotion plan.
As part of this, we conducted a workshop and questionnaire on reading from July to August 2024.

Those who have difficulty recognizing visual expressions ("visually impaired", "developed people with developmental disabilities who have difficulty reading", "difficult to have books or turn pages due to bedridden or upper limb disorders, or It is difficult to use eyeballs")

4 Survey Method
Through the Yokohama Municipal Special Needs School, Yokohama City Library, and cooperating organizations, we request the above subjects (including parents and related parties) to respond to questionnaire surveys by e-mail or mail.

Booklist "20 books at the age of 20"

"20-year-old 20 books" is a book list created in cooperation with the "Publication Cultural Promotion Foundation" for the purpose of promoting reading activities for young people.
Gathering executive committee members and celebrities celebrating 20-year-old citizens have introduced a total of 20 books recommended to 20-year-olds.
This booklet is distributed to participants in "Gathering to Celebrate 20-year-old Citizens" (held on January 8, 2024).

  • Part 1 Vibrio Battle Knowing Books through People Knowing People through Books

The theme of the book is "Family". The Vibrio Battle is a game in which book presentation participants introduce recommended books in a 5-minute + Q & A session, and all vote for "books I want to read most" and decide on a "champ book".

  • Part 2 “Book Fun Card” Workshop to Foster Creativity

This is a workshop where participants can easily discuss their reading experience using a card with reading tips and how to enjoy it. Even those who are not good at reading books can discover how reading can lead to an exciting experience.
