Promotion of reading activities

Based on the purpose of the "Regulations on Promoting Reading Activities for Yokohama Citizens", ward offices, libraries and schools work together to promote reading activities throughout the region in cooperation with various facilities and groups of reading activities according to the regional characteristics of Izumi Ward.
We will hold a reading event "Recommended Books, Introducing"!
State of the exhibition in 2023
We display "recommended book" introduction sheet from elementary school studenｔ student including book committee of elementary and junior high school in ward and teachers such as librarian teachers, school librarians.
You may find the book you want to read.♪
Overview of the Meeting
[Period] From Tuesday, January 14, 2025 to Friday, January 17, 2025 (until 13:00 on the last day)
[Venue] Izumi Ward Office 1st Floor Kumin Hall
[Contents] A panel introducing "recommended books" by elementary school studenｔ students, librarian teachers and school librarians will be displayed in the ward hall.

Izumi Ward Reading Stamp Rally was held.

Following last year, Izumi Ward held the Reading Stamp Rally in August.
For those who borrowed books at a target facility in Izumi Ward and collected three stamps on the mount, we presented a batch of cans (limited to 300 pieces).

"Reuse Bunko Corner" has been specially set up.
In order to make it easier for everyone to pick up books, Izumi Ward expanded the scale in August and set up a reuse library corner.
