1 Social Participation Promotion Center for Persons with Disabilities
[Overview]
In order to create a society where everyone can live brightly at home and in the community, regardless of the presence or absence of disabilities, the disabled themselves implement social participation promotion measures and promote independent living and social participation in the community. We have established the "Disability Social Participation Promotion Center".
As one of the initiatives, we provide a “IT workshop for the disabled” where various people with disabilities, including the visually impaired, can learn how to use PCs and tablet terminals.

3 Braille Library (Kanagawa Prefectural Light Center)
[Overview]
We provide individual services such as lending Braille books and daisy books, braille translation, transliteration, and face-to-face reading.
In addition, we also provide consultation on how to operate the daisy playback machine and how to use the Sapier library.
The location is Futamata River, Asahi-ku, Yokohama.

5 Speech Translation Volunteer Group
Overview
Volunteer groups that provide face-to-face reading of text information and provide recorded CDs or cassette tapes for those who are invisible or hard to see or have difficulty reading for other reasons are active in each ward. You.

Books and magazines that are not found in the Sapier Library, private documents such as letters and New Year's cards, and instruction manuals for electrical appliances are available upon request.
In the case of recording provision, it may take more than a few months depending on the content.
In addition, in the case of reading, the client may be responsible for transportation expenses, and in the case of recording, the actual cost of the recording medium, etc.

6 Braille translation volunteer group
Overview
In response to requests from visually impaired children and persons, volunteer groups that provide ink print in Braille are active in the city.
Details
Books, magazines, and instruction manuals for electrical appliances that are not found in the Sapier Library are available on request.
It may take more than a few months depending on the content. In addition, the client may be required to pay for the actual cost of Braille paper.
