Shiomidai Hirado Line (Ooka District)

Shiomidai Hirado Line is a city planning road with a length of about 7.2 km, starting from Isogo Ward-no-Mori 4-chome and ending at Hiratocho, Totsuka Ward. Of these, we will start a road widening project for the section from the vicinity of Manpukuji to the vicinity of the Ooka Fire Branch Office. In order to improve the safety of Fujinogi Elementary School's school roads, we plan to actively promote the development so that the business effect can be obtained in about seven years.

Improvement effect	Ensuring school road safety and facilitating vehicle traffic A part of the existing road is designated as a school road at Fujinogi Elementary School, but there is no separation between the sidewalk and the roadway, and the width is as narrow as about 7 meters. In addition, it is a section where bus traffic is extremely large in the city. Through this project, we aim to ensure the safety of school roads and facilitate vehicle traffic. Formation of fire spread zone Houses are densely populated along this line, and as an area where there is a high risk of fire spread in the event of an earthquake or fire, it is positioned as a target area under the "Earthquake Fire Countermeasures Policy in the Yokohama City Earthquake Disaster Prevention Strategy (March 2014)" . Through this project, a fire spread zone will be formed, and the damage caused by fire can be expected to be reduced.
