Since 2019, Yokohama City has been implementing The SpringboardTMProgram in Yokohama, a program that fosters and supports small and medium-sized startups in the life sciences field in collaboration with CONNECT, an entrepreneur support organization in San Diego, USA. Three companies participating in the program have been selected.
Going forward, participating companies will refine their business skills through practical mentoring by San Diego entrepreneurs and professional mentors mentors in San Diego so that they can make a propelling pitch of their products and services, and after completing the program, they will report their results to U.S. VCs and related companies.
Through this initiative, Yokohama City will promote support for small and medium-sized startups to realize the "Innovation City, Yokohama".
