About postponement of "I. TOP Yokohama" Route Bus Autonomous Driving Project "-Implementing Operation of Autonomous Driving Bus Connected to the First Station in the prefecture-"

In consideration of the situation of COVID-19, we decided to postpone the implementation of this demonstration experiment in consultation with related organizations.

Yokohama City, Sotetsu Bus Co., Ltd., Gunma University, and Japan Mobility Co., Ltd. are promoting the “Route Bus Autonomous Driving Project” with the aim of realizing sustainable mobility services using autonomous driving technology as an initiative of “IT TOP Yokohama” to promote the creation of new businesses through IoT and other means.
As part of the project's efforts, we will increase the number of regular bus routes to the Sakonyama housing complex, one of the target housing complexs for the large-scale housing complex Regeneration Model Project in Yokohama City from Futamatagawa Station for five days from Monday and holiday to Friday, September 24, 2021.
Going forward, we will continue to conduct step-by-step verification tests to improve social receptivity to autonomous driving, and aim to realize a safer autonomous driving society by pursuing high safety and stable operability as soon as possible, with the aim of realizing a safer autonomous driving society.
