ICTOP Yokohama "Route Bus Autonomous Driving Project" started! ~ Japan's first automated driving demonstration experiment in business operation by large bus ~

Yokohama City, Sotetsu Bus Co., Ltd., and Gunma University aim to realize sustainable mobility services using autonomous driving technology as part of the "ITOP Yokohama" to promote the creation of new businesses through IoT, etc., aiming to realize sustainable mobility services using autonomous driving technology.
In addition, as part of this project, demonstration of autonomous driving using a large route bus from Saturday, September 14, 2019, which is the period of "Satoyama Garden Festa 2019 Autumn" will be held, to October 14 (Mon./holiday), the demonstration experiment.
In this demonstration experiment, we aim to solve local traffic issues using autonomous buses with the aim of maintaining a transportation network in suburban areas and responding to labor shortages caused by population decline.
