IKATOP Yokohama "Delivery Box IoT Re-delivery Elimination Project" started!

Yokohama City and Kyocera Co., Ltd. launched the “Delivery Box IoT Re-delivery Elimination Project” aiming to eliminate redelivery using a home delivery system utilizing IoT as an initiative of “IT TOP Yokohama” to promote the creation of new businesses through IoT and other means.
In addition, as part of this project, a demonstration test of the IoT delivery system will be conducted at Wakabadai housing complex in Asahi Ward, Yokohama from Saturday, February 1 to Monday, June 15.
This demonstration test will be conducted for 790 rental housing units in housing complex, Wakabadai, with the cooperation of two couriers of Sagawa Express Co., Ltd. and Japan Post Co., Ltd., using the delivery box of Shiroyama Kiko Co., Ltd.
In the demonstration experiment, we aim to solve social issues through IoT with the aim of improving the convenience of receiving packages and eliminating redelivery.
Asahi Ward has established the SDGs Wakabadai Front, a contact point for public-private partnerships to realize the SDGs Future City of Yokohama, and this is the fourth initiative involving the front desk.
