On December 8 (Thursday), at EcoPro 2022 held at Tokyo Big Sight, Yokohama City and JFE Steel Corporation jointly conducted the "5th EcoPro Award Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Award" was awarded for "Promotion of Marine Environment Improvement with Steel Slag Products and Initiatives for Environmental Education". This is the first time that the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Award has been awarded through public-private partnerships. This initiative received the 2021 Civil Engineers Environment Award (II Group).
