Held a project tray mat design contest to think about biodiversity.

Yokohama City aims to connect water and green natural environment and the blessings of biodiversity to the next generation, aiming to be a town where nature and people coexist, deepen their understanding of biodiversity, and take action to protect biodiversity. We carry out enlightenment to lead.
This year, Kanto Gakuin University, McDonald's Japan Co., Ltd. and Yokohama City will collaborate to hold a tray mat design contest. Students from Kanto Gakuin University learned about biodiversity and the procurement of sustainable ingredients and materials from McDonald's' sustainable ingredients and materials, and designed tray mats to be laid on trays used at McDonald's stores. For the design, we will conduct an online voting that anyone can participate in. The works selected for the highest award will be presented as actual tray mats at all McDonald's stores.
In order to encourage citizens to deepen their understanding of biodiversity, we will call on many people to participate in the polls and exhibit at Yokohama City Hall. In addition, one of them will be awarded the City of Yokohama, Environmental Planning Bureau Prize.
