Since 1973, Yokohama City has been conducting surveys on marine biotas. The 15th survey was conducted between 2020 and 2021, and three species of fish were identified for the first time. In each case, the main distribution area was outside Tokyo Bay (open sea), and it was a rare species in the bay. In addition, many invasive species have been confirmed in coastal animals.
