Yokohama City has been conducting an ongoing biota survey since 1973. The 15th survey between 2020 and 2021 revealed that three species of fish were first identified. In each case, the main distribution area was outside Tokyo Bay (open ocean), and it was a rare species in the bay. In coastal animals, many exotic species continued to be identified.
