[Press Release] Yokohama Zoo ZOORASIA Tsushima Wildcat's successful artificial insemination Received the Koga Prize in Japan for rare breeding of rare species breeding.

　Based on the Tsushima Wildcat Protection and Proliferation Project, Yokohama Zoo and Preservation and Research Center, City of Yokohama have been working together with the Ministry of the Environment and the Japanese Association of Zoos and Aquariums for the first time in Japan to succeed in breeding by artificial insemination on March 18, 2021.
　In recognition of the achievements of this activity, Yokohama Zoo received the 36th Koga Prize at the Japanese Association of Zoos and Aquariums Ordinary General Meeting on May 27, 2022. This is the second award in Yokohama since Preservation and Research Center received the Bali Myna Conservation Project in fiscal 2015.
