We devised "Yokohama-shi sewer decarbonization plan"! 　We aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from the sewerage business by 50% in FY2030 and achieve net zero (carbon neutrality) in FY2050.

　Yokohama City Hall is one of the largest emitters in the city, accounting for about 5% of greenhouse gas emissions in the city area, and it is necessary to take the initiative in reducing emissions. Among them, the amount of emissions from the sewerage business is the second largest after the general waste treatment business, accounting for about 20% of the entire city hall business. Therefore, in order to promote more steady reductions, we have formulated the "Yokohama City Sewerage Decarbonization Plan" that systematically summarizes specific initiatives in the sewerage business.
